Privacy Policy

Last updated May 29, 2026

This policy explains what limited information Lakeside Ledger handles. The site is a static educational reference and is designed to collect as little as possible.

Information handled

The site does not run user accounts or a database. Two interactions touch your information:

  • Contact form. The form on the home page validates and processes input entirely in your browser. It does not transmit your name, email, phone or message to a server, and no message is stored or delivered.
  • Cookie notice choice. When you select Accept or Reject, a single value is saved in your browser's local storage to remember the choice so the notice does not reappear.

Cookies and local storage

The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The only stored item is the local-storage entry recording your cookie-notice choice. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Third-party content

Images are loaded directly from Wikimedia Commons, and fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these files, the providing service may receive standard request information such as your IP address, as happens with any externally hosted file. Outbound links to reference sites are governed by those sites' own policies.

Children

The site is general-audience educational content and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page with an updated date.
